Inspired by the legacy of Abu Dharr—the companion of the Prophet (ﷺ) renowned for his commitment to social justice—Jemal Abdu began a mission to serve the most marginalized members of society: orphans. What began as a personal spiritual journey evolved into the Abizeer Community Development Organization (ACDO). Registered on October 8, 2019 (Registry No. 4489) under Proclamation No. 1113/2019
Headquartered in Addis Ababa (Bisrate Gabriel, Shimekit Building), ACDO maintains a primary logistics hub in Bati to ensure efficient distribution. Our organization is led by high-level professionals and governed by robust, tailored policies covering as HR, Finance, Safeguarding, and Procurement to ensure the highest standards of transparency and service delivery.
Inspired by the legacy of Abu Dharr, we view caring for the vulnerable as a fundamental spiritual and moral duty shared across world religions.

We don't just provide food; we provide a "protective shield" of healthcare, education, and social support for life in all its fullness.

We practice truthful storytelling, never using "sensationalized" stories. With a community-driven digital presence of over 2.5 million, we engage the world to ensure the most marginalized voices are heard first.

Guided by the Kafala principles of guardianship, we view caring for the vulnerable as a fundamental moral duty. Our doors are open to all who deserve support, providing mercy and protection regardless of religion, ethnicity, or race.

Using our Family-Based Care Model, we provide a "protective shield" of nutrition and health. We maintain zero tolerance for abuse, ensuring total dignity for every child and elderly citizen in our care.
